Two hundred and forty nine years ago 13 states had a vision of a land with no king and they fought for about eight years to achieve their goal. Many of the times it was tough going and their cause looked hopeless.
They persevered and accomplished their goal with the signing of the Treaty of Paris September 3rd, 1783. The 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence put their lives and fortunes on the line knowing that if they lost the war all would be hung for treason.
We are celebrating today the vision, and mission that these men had over 200 years ago.
I will talking next is how we all need to embrace a vision and mission for our selves in the last third of our lives. Enjoy the fourth!
