This is a membership Morsel from “Too Young to Retire”. Today, we are continuing to
talk about how your communities are coming out of isolation caused by Covid19.
I have noticed that as we come out of the isolation, that was forced on us by the Covid virus, many communities are experiencing a split personality.
Some are like Toast Masters and have some clubs meeting in person, and other clubs are meeting virtually. The hybrid model involving having a meeting with virtual and physical attendees was tried by some clubs, but they were very labor intensive because members both virtual and in person have to be involved in the meeting. It was also not very satisfying experience.
Another group with a split personality is church. People are slowly coming back to in-person services, but a lot of the congregations are still staying at home. This works well for a church because the people are still not allowed to participate in the service other than standing up and sitting down. So, it doesn’t matter if you are sitting or standing at home or in the Sanctuary.
What communities that you are involved in are struggling with reopening and providing programing in both a virtual format and in-person format? Are you finding them also struggling with this split personality? Are you comfortable going to restaurants, theaters, lectures, and other mass gatherings? Are they being offered both virtually and in person?
Come find out how other people are handling these activities and how they feel. By being part of the 2 Young 2 Retire you will learn what their strategies are.
There are so many things you will learn that you should never run out of options. Sign up for our classes, join in the discussion and become part of our community about life after working at www.patterson2y2r.com
