Is Your Company Reborn?

This is the season of Lent and as I attended church the sermon got me thinking about a person’s mission and vision for themselves. The ministers was talking about how some Christians will tell you they are born again and others will say they didn’t need to be born again.

You ask what does this have to do with a company pivoting or transitioning to other products or services? Actually, everything if you think about it. #vision

Why would I say this when one is a secular logical problem and the other is a spiritual problem. Companies as well as individuals find change very hard.

Christians find the same issues affects them. Why if you feel you are doing great would you ever consider making changes that make you uncomfortable. #visionmission

Take the history of IBM it effectively was four different companies till Thomas Watson from National Cash Register was hired and took control of the company. #visionmissionplan

It was his vision that took these four companies and transform them into a company that lead the world in innovation and opened up a whole new world with its office equipment and computers. Most of us today could not even envision a world without computers.

You could say IBM got religion and was reborn again under Watson and became the leader in this field from the 1915 to 1960’s. It had to again had to revisit its initial purpose and again be reborn to become the company it is today. #corporateplanning

Has your company become too comfortable with where they are in the market? Has your company been reborn? Has your company gotten religion? #companyplanning

Maybe its time to check that vision statement and mission plan and see if some tweaking may be necessary.

If not contact me and lets revisit your vision and where you want your company to go. I give seminars on creating or revisiting what your companies vision is and how to use it to craft your mission statement and your business plan on where you want to go.
