If you didn’t know I love collecting recipes and making dishes. The other day I was watching a program on a dinner party a TV Chef was throwing for his friends.
Each of them were in charge of making a dish in his kitchen. One of the guests made a mistake on one of the recipes and the Chef tasted it and than proclaimed, “It is the mistakes that make the memories.”
His friend said, “Would you still call it by its original name?” The chef laughed and said he would change the name of the recipe to reflect the good points of the mistake.
Life is like that, you make plans and something happens and what you get you never expected. As the Chef declared, “It will probably make memories for you.”
When was the last time you made a mistake? Did you vow that you would never venture into the arena again so you would not have to worry about making a mistake?
I hope you embraced what you did and look for the golden lining from that mistake. That you grew and ventured forth back into that arena.
Be like Don Quixote “in “Man from La Mancha.” Dream that impossible Dream, right that unrightable wrong or maybe just live a life of purpose and direction.
The third phase of life, the returning phase is your chance to seize that opportunity. Are you a symbol of hope and inspiration to those around you? Do you wonder what you can give to help those who follow you?
