In the old West there was a cowboy expression that said, “There never was a horse that couldn’t be ridden, and there never was a rider that couldn’t be thrown.”
What is that telling me? There is no compromise or negotiation regarding who will run your life. Either you take charge and live a productive life or allow your self to be ruled by circumstances.
I am not saying that everything will go perfectly for you. Yes you may need to have a knee replaced, or maybe you don’t have the finances to go on fancy trips anymore.
Like everyone else, you will also have days when everything will go right with you, and you are on top of the world.
Relish those days, enjoy them, and remember them. Another way of saying this is you are either growing or dying, You are controlling life and taking all that it gives you or you are just surviving and slowly becoming irrelevant.
I want to encourage you to seize life by its ears and take charge and live a productive life and not be ruled by circumstances. Live life to its fullest, balanced and positive.
The third phase of life, the returning phase is your chance to seize that opportunity. Are you a symbol of hope and inspiration to those around you? Do you wonder what you can give to help those who follow you?
