When was the last time you took a risk that scared you. Maybe it was riding a rollercoaster, or going too fast in a car, or standing on the edge of a Clift.
When we quit taking risks our arteries harden. When we quit taking risks we become comfortable, and sedentary. Our dreams get suffocated.
You have to keep moving forward or you are regressing, dying little by little. I always like the view that a risk is a doorway into a new room with possibilities.
People who stop taking risks are afraid of dealing with a crisis, but a crisis is a gift. It shows us what to put our faith in and what not to. Whether its money, things, systems, technology, medicine, they will all fail you at sometime.
God is the only constant, and he encourages us to not get off the roller coaster that is called life. In Ecclesiastes 3:11- 12 he says.
“ 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet[a] no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. 12 I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. “
In your third phase of life get off that couch and continue to, “Do Good.” Don’t believe societies dictate that your life is over. Gods say it’s not and you can celebrate life by continuing to “Do Good!”.
The third phase of life, the returning phase is your chance to seize that opportunity. Are you a symbol of hope and inspiration to those around you? Do you wonder what you can give to help those who follow you?
If you have struggled with these questions and issues then Patterson2Y2R should be a place you should visit. Share your stories and challenges. I have an ear that would love to hear your stories.
Let’s taste the real meaning of life. I am still working on my course with a goal of launching a starter course by June 30th, and I will keep you abreast as to how the process goes.
If you want to participate in this process and join my first class please send me an email to www.bobchuckpatterson@yahoo.com
