This is a membership Morsel from “Too Young to Retire”. Today, we are continuing to
talk about money and whether there are laws that apply to it.
Money is one of those abstract things that was created to allow people to convert their labor into a form that could be stored or used for other forms of consumption. If you grow carrots but you want a chicken for dinner how to you convert a chicken from carrots?
Money is neither good nor evil. We all have a relationship with money that was created over time. It was created by observing how our families talked and handled money. It was also created by observing the attitude of other people around us and how they spent their money. Last, by what other people formally taught us about money or from what we read.
You have to consider what is your attitude about Creating wealth and managing money. What is an abundance mindset? Does this mean you have an excess or just sufficiency? How much is enough? Are you afraid of being rich?
There are so many things that shape your attitude about money. Have you ever talked to your spouse about money and how important it is to you or her? Have you ever explored its meaning and role in your life? What are your beliefs about it? What is your relationship with it? How well do you manage it?
Money is such a touchy subject for many people that they refuse to talk about it. Your views shape how much you will accumulate and how you spend your dollars. Do you invest in yourself? Do you invest in things? Do you invest in helping make the world better for others? Or do you invest in consumption that is enjoyed today and gone tomorrow?
If you don’t examine your beliefs, you will never know how much your past is directing your future. Come join in the discussion and see if you need a change of view. By being part of the 2 Young 2 Retire group you will learn what these strategies are.
